Online Store Policies

These policies apply to purchases made through the Born Free Cycles online store at bornfreecycles.com. Separate policies apply to in-store purchases and repair services.

 

DELIVERY AND SHIPPING

Shipping Timeline

Domestic and international orders placed Monday–Friday before 2:00 PM PST typically ship the same business day if items are in stock.

Orders placed after 2:00 PM PST Friday will ship the following business Monday.

We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or major holidays.

Shipping timelines may be affected by:

• vendor fulfillment delays
• manufacturer backorders
• carrier interruptions
• weather conditions
• inventory discrepancies

Tracking information will be provided once the order ships.

Local Same-Day Delivery (5-Mile Radius)

Born Free Cycles offers same-day local delivery for eligible orders within 5 miles of our shop when:

• the order total exceeds $50
• items are in stock
• the order is placed before 2:00 PM PST
• delivery is available that day based on staff routing availability

If same-day delivery is not possible, the order will ship normally or be scheduled for the next available delivery window.

Born Free Cycles reserves the right to confirm delivery eligibility prior to dispatch.

Vendor-Direct / Special-Order Items

Some products ship directly from manufacturers or distributors.

These items may:

• ship separately
• require additional processing time
• be non-returnable
• be subject to supplier availability

Customers will be notified if fulfillment timing changes significantly.

International Orders

International customers are responsible for:

• import duties
• VAT
• brokerage fees
• customs charges

These are not included in shipping costs.

Born Free Cycles is not responsible for customs delays.

EXCHANGE POLICY

U.S. Customers

Eligible products may be exchanged within 30 days of delivery.

Items must be:

• unused
• uninstalled
• in original packaging
• in resalable condition

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the exchange is due to an error by Born Free Cycles.

Replacement items ship after returned merchandise is received and inspected.

International Customers

International exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery.

Customers are responsible for:

• return shipping
• duties
• taxes
• customs fees

Replacement items ship after inspection and approval.

RETURNS FOR REFUND

Returns for refund are accepted within 30 days of delivery unless otherwise noted.

Returned items must be:

• unused
• uninstalled
• complete
• in original packaging
• in resalable condition

Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return results from an error by Born Free Cycles.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following items are final sale:

• electrical components
• installed parts
• special-order items
• vendor-direct items
• clearance or closeout merchandise
• painted parts
• helmets
• leather goods
• luggage and bags
• opened tuning devices or electronics
• gasket kits once opened
• fluids, lubricants, and chemicals

RESTOCKING FEES

Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%, particularly for:

• special procurement items
• vendor-direct shipments
• discontinued products
• items returned without packaging

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

Orders may be cancelled prior to shipment.

Once an order has shipped, it must follow the return process.

Special-order items cannot be cancelled after processing begins.

REFUSED SHIPMENTS

Shipments refused by the customer may be subject to:

• return shipping charges
• restocking fees
• deduction of original shipping costs

FITMENT RESPONSIBILITY

Customers are responsible for confirming compatibility before placing an order.

If you are unsure whether a product fits your motorcycle, contact us before purchasing.

Returns due to incorrect fitment may be subject to restocking fees.

WARRANTY POLICY

Most products sold by Born Free Cycles carry manufacturer warranties only.

Born Free Cycles does not independently warranty aftermarket parts unless explicitly stated.

Warranty coverage does not include:

• improper installation
• misuse or abuse
• racing or competition use
• incorrect fitment selection
• damage caused by other components
• normal wear and tear
• cosmetic aging or finish degradation

Customers should consult a qualified technician when installing performance components.

Born Free Cycles is not responsible for injury, damage, or loss resulting from improper installation.

Warranty claims require proof of purchase.

Returned warranty items must be approved prior to shipment.

DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ORDERS

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 5 business days of delivery.

Please include:

• order number
• photos of packaging
• photos of product condition

We will resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

PAYMENT SECURITY

Your payment and personal information are always secure.

Our website uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect your personal data during transmission.

Born Free Cycles does not store credit card information on our servers.

FRAUD PREVENTION

Born Free Cycles reserves the right to cancel any order flagged for suspected fraud or unauthorized payment activity.

Additional identity verification may be required prior to shipment.
