Shop Porter/ Driver - PART TIME

This is a great position for someone who is looking get their foot in the motorcycle industry!  This is a entry level position that has many responsibilities.

Summary Description

• Assists in closing shop daily

• Maintains shop cleanliness and organization

• Assist customers and staff as needed

• Performs quality control on outgoing motorcycles by walk around inspection 

• Drives to and from specific locations to pick up and drop off motorcycles, parts, accessories and other specified items by Service Manager and Upper Management

• Moves and cleans motorcycles, keeps the motorcycles in sound working condition, and helps the Service Manager as requested

Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean Driving Record and adherence to all driving laws

• Transferring units in and out of the Service Department.

• Washing/Detailing all units.

• Maintaining the entire building and lot.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have valid drivers license

• Proficient in meeting deadlines on a timely manner.

• Clean driving record.

• Maintain a positive attitude and relationship with all other employees.

• Capable of pushing and loading motorcycles.

Physical Demands

• May be required to drive long distances.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

• Requires the use of both hands.

• Frequently required to bend, stop, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift 50lbs of material.

• Requires the ability to balance and push a 600+lb motorcycle.

Working Conditions

• Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.

• Potential exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.

• Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.

Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday. Some nights and Monday's may be required.
