Harley-Davidson Service Assistant & Quality Assurance Rider
Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time (with occasional overtime and Saturdays)
Are you passionate about Harley-Davidson motorcycles and eager to break into the motorcycle industry? Born Free Cycles is looking for a motivated Service Assistant & Quality Assurance Rider who wants to get their foot in the door and grow with a well-established, independent Harley-Davidson shop.
In this role, you’ll support our senior technicians, learn hands-on skills, and help ensure every motorcycle leaving our shop meets the highest safety and performance standards.
Job Responsibilities

Assist senior Harley-Davidson technicians with daily tasks, repairs, and service work.

Perform quality assurance test rides to verify repairs and ensure proper performance.

Accurately follow service instructions, diagnostic charts, and part installation guides.

Safely ride and evaluate all Harley-Davidson models, including touring bikes up to 800 lbs.

Help stage, move, and unload motorcycles in the shop.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Communicate clearly with technicians, service writers, and management.

Follow all shop policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications

General knowledge of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and products.

Valid driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement.

Clean, insurable driving record (per company insurance policy).

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening (periodic testing may apply).

Dependable, organized, positive attitude, and self-motivated.

Physically able to walk, push, and maneuver motorcycles; frequently required to lift heavy objects and work in a loud environment.
Preferred (Not Required)

MMI or formal mechanical training.

Prior experience working in a motorcycle shop or dealership.

Mechanical or service-related work experience.

Ownership or past ownership of a Harley-Davidson.
